TPI-Polytechniek

INTERNSHIP NATIONAL COMPANY

DEVELOPMENT

I focused on mastering SolidWorks, 3D printing digital models, professional skills, and learning to weld. Initially, I underestimated the difference between SolidWorks and Blender, but through practice and creating real-life product models, I gained confidence and learned how to use SolidWorks. I also explored rendering software and found SolidWorks Visualize to be the best option for high-quality renders. 3D printing became an essential tool for prototyping, and I learned how to prepare models for printing, troubleshoot common errors, and optimize print settings.

Additionally, I improved my professional skills by effectively communicating with non-technical colleagues through data visualization, simulations, exploded views and renders. Collaborating with different departments at TPI, such as sales, logistics, and R&D, provided valuable perspectives and insights into the business side of design. Finally, I took the opportunity to learn welding and its importance in creating high-quality metal prototypes. Overall, my experiences at TPI expanded my skills, understanding of manufacturing processes, and the importance of thorough testing and effective presentation.
